A type of crime in which a computer is the target or tool for an illegal activity is called computer crime. It is often involves stealing, using, selling the company’s personals data. A type of crime that refers to an illegal act involving the internet is called cybercrime. Computer crime, sometimes known as cyber-crime, is a serious affair. The crime can be committed directly and its impacts can spread with ridiculous speed. Moreover, the ever-increasing use of computers, mainly in serving significant support, makes computer crime more serious.

Computer Criminals

The persons who commit computer crimes are known as computer criminals or cybercriminals. Cybercriminals are known to enter the cybercriminal resistance markets observed in the broad web to trade hateful goods and co-operation, such as hacking tools and seized data. Cybercriminal underground markets are known to concentrate on specific results or services. Different types of computer criminals are as follows:

Hacker is a person who accesses a computer or network illegally is known as hackers. This term was originally used for computer enthusiasts. Normally work anonymously and build tools for hacking. They often hack computers for no criminal reason and are sometimes even carried by companies needing to test their safety.

A cracker is a person who accesses a computer or network illegally for some negative purpose. A cracker may damage data and steal important information etc.

Script Kiddie is a person who tries to access a computer or network illegally without technical expertise is known as a script kiddie. The script kiddies normally use hacking or cracking software to access computers.

Corporate spy is a person who is appointed to develop into a specific computer is known as a corporate spy. Corporate spies have great computer and network skills. Some organizations hire them to recognize security risks in the organization etc.

Unethical Employees may access the computer for different purposes. Some may get business gains by selling secret information. Some unhappy employees may do this to get revenge etc.

Cyber Extortionist is a person who uses email as a tool for corruption is known as cyber extortionist? Such persons send an email to a company with a threat. They tell the company to pay money otherwise they will disclose private information about the company etc.

Cyber Terrorist is a person who uses computer internet or network to crash or damage computers for political reasons is known as cyber terrorists. For example, cyber terrorists may destroy air traffic control systems, electricity-generating systems or telecommunication system of a country.
